Back to basic it is... Neolastic is based on the principles of experimental archeology. The production techniques are primitive, the objects present a focus on simplicity and confront our views of modern civilisation. Each object is handmade with plastic casted sand mold and the best way to describe the production process is really to see the movie in the post. The result is this raw product with an inspiring way of creating something new and different.

Neolastic is created by Sjoerd Donkers who graduated from Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2009. During his studies, he found a fascination for things and objects, as well as crafting products using somewhat primitive production techniques – taking one uncomplicated and unexpected material as the basis for his design. In his studio he tends to focus on exploring early technology in order to create new and exciting designs.
