A few weeks ago, we already wrote about One Collection and their designs classics from Finn Juhl.

Today we show you 2 of our favorites, the France chair and the Chieftain chair.  Finn Juhl designed the France chair, FJ 136 as the chair was originally called, for France & Son for the American market in 1956.

The chair was designed for industrial production and has a more simple expression than many of Juhl’s other chairs. The chair’s organic shapes are typical for Finn Juhl’s designs. The light wooden frame and the upholstered elements are made with so much precision, which gives it a real sophisticated look.

The Chieftain is designed in 1949 and today an icon within Danish furniture art. Made by the very best craftsmen in teak and walnut, this chair now is an extreme grandeur. It is upholstered in leather, which gives it a rich and timeless feeling.

We will soon show you some more of our favorite design classics on the blog. Curious to hear if you are also having a favorite?
