“We reimagined the sharp lines in brutalist architecture, placing them on the body to achieve softly sculpted silhouettes with a focus on the waist and the shoulder.”

In addition to the launches of all new interior collections, I’m also always looking forward to those from the fashion world and despite the fact that I have decided to buy less new clothing it inspires me enormously to admire their news. COS has introduced their Autumn Winter 2019 collection - A new perspective - which is captured photographer Mark Borthwick in a rural setting on England’s beautiful southeast coast. The collection draws inspiration from both monumental architecture and the tranquil mood of escaping to nature.

Soft materials bring contrast to strong silhouettes, inspired by the bold lines seen in brutalist architecture. With its silhouette informed by architectural lines, the wool melange wrap skirt below is a key piece from the Autumn Winter 2019 collection. Such an inspiring start of the season and there are so much beautiful items to admire. You can discover the AW2019 lookbook here. - Elvera -
