A series of expressive objects - Colin King for Menu

Simple. Sophisticated. Sculptural. The Stance Vase is inspired by traditional display stands to provide support for branches or long-stemmed flowers. The bronzed brass vase patinates beautifully over time and the understated design lends itself to any setting. Available in two sizes.

Designed to neatly hold books in place, the abstract forms of the Converge Bookends are shaped from lava stone – a dark and porous material with a textured surface. Use as intended, one at either side of a line of books, or interlock together to create a sculpture that delights with its intriguing shape and touch.

This month Menu has launched some great additions to their collection and I’m always so inspired by their news. Beautiful original designs as “Collector”, a series of three mid-century lighting designs, “Olfacte”, a collection of evocative scents housed in smoked glass. Infused with high-quality, natural essential oils.

The Plinth Pedestal and Plinth Bridge are two elevating additions to the Plinth Collection, designed by Norm Architects and Menu also introduced - my personal favorite - the Colin King Collection, a series of expressive objects designed to be the finishing touches in any space and I really love them! According to Menu this collection - created by stylist Colin King - is a eponymous collection of dramatic and decorative objects that profiles the beauty of natural materials and graphic shapes and I can only agree. With its familiar feel, reminiscent of ancient vessels, the Taper Bowl has a restrained look that lends itself to any setting. The conical metal design features a brass finish that lends warmth to interiors. Versatile in use, it works equally well as a catch-all for small items as it does left unfilled as a decorative object.

Perfectly proportioned, the Surround Vase is shaped from a single piece of solid wood that displays unique natural grain patterns. The rotund, tactile design is equally impactful styled with a few stems of flowers as it is left unfilled.

Dramatic in scale and expression, the Rond Bowl is an ideal centrepiece for a dining or a coffee table, anchoring a large surface space. Expertly cast in concrete, the versatile design has an intriguing surface that adds textural appeal to spaces and an exaggerated lip that lends dimension to the piece.

The Relevé Platter is a simple platter that leaves a striking impression as a centrepiece on a dining or coffee table, the sculpted acacia wood design appears to float on air.
