Paper Paste Living

As I am always on the look out for sustainable brand, I stumbled upon the brand Paper Paste Living. A sustainable Danish design company, who wants to bring paper alive, reconnecting with its heritage and letting it guide. I love the way they communicate about their designers but also their artisans, read their full story below. - Vivian

“The brand was born with the purpose to inspire, reconnect and establish a dialogue with our environment. On this journey, they will always search for new ways of minimising our footprint while communicating honestly and transparently about obstacles. Their mission is to inspire new and ethical home decor solutions by creating appealing, sustainable items.

The Paper Paste products are designed by the Danish design studio Hans Thyge & Co. They live and work on the coast overlooking the sea south of the city of Aarhus. When the opportunity to develop a complete range of products from recycled paper arose, the studio immediately accepted the challenge. The over 100-year-old tradition of using paper scraps to create aesthetic objects keeps a beautiful, circular story about human ingenuity alive.

The artisans behind the Paper Paste Living products are located in Spain near Barcelona. The two factories are within 1km from one another, minimising any transportation between the facilities. Handwork is still apparent in the processes of both places, and together they strive for a green and efficient production set-up. “- You can read all about the production here.
